FAQ

This is my first photoshoot, what should I know?

First time in front of the camera? You're in good company. Most people feel a little nervous before their first shoot, and that's completely normal. Here's what you can expect, before the shoot, we'll talk beforehand about what you're going for the vibe, the outfits, the location so there are no surprises on the day. If you're not sure what to wear, I'm happy to help you figure that out.
On the day get there a few minutes early so we're not rushing. Bring a couple of outfit options if we planned for that, and don't stress about doing your hair and makeup "perfectly" a little touch-up kit for on-the-spot fixes never hurts.
During the shoot, I'll guide you through poses and angles the whole time, so you don't need to know what to do with your hands (everyone worries about that one). If something feels awkward, tell me we'll adjust. Some of the best shots happen in between the "official" poses, when you're laughing or just being yourself.
After the shoot, I'll walk you through what happens next turnaround time, how you'll receive your photos, and whether there are any prints or extras included.
Most importantly, relax and have fun with it. The more comfortable you are, the better the photos turn out and that's really my job, to help you feel at ease so your personality comes through.

What should I wear?

Great question.. what you wear can make a bigger difference than people expect. Here are a few tips to help you look and feel your best, solid colors work best. Busy patterns, small stripes, or loud logos can be distracting on camera (and sometimes even look weird once photographed). Solid or subtly textured pieces tend to photograph much better.
Think about the mood you want. Soft, neutral tones (think creams, grays, earth tones) give a timeless, natural look. Bolder colors can add energy and personality. Just make sure they don't clash with the background or location.
Bring a backup outfit or two. Even if you already have "the outfit" in mind, having a couple of options gives us flexibility to switch things up during the shoot for variety.
Fit matters more than trendiness. Clothes that fit you well and that you feel comfortable moving in will always look better than something trendy but stiff or ill-fitting.
When in doubt, ask. If you're not sure what works for your shoot, send me a few photos of outfit options before handI'm always happy to help you pick.

How many pictures will I receive?

This one depends a bit on the type of session and package you choose, but here's the general idea:
I always shoot more than you'll actually receive that way I have plenty to choose from. After the shoot, I go through everything and hand-pick the strongest images. The ones that are sharp, well-composed, and actually capture the moment (not just technically "fine").
For most sessions, you can expect a curated gallery rather than every single frame from the shoot. Quality over quantity. Nobody needs 40 nearly identical shots to choose from.

Do you have a question?

Don't see your question answered above? No worries just reach out! Send me a message and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Whether it's about pricing, scheduling, what to expect, or something totally random, I'm happy to help.
